Head of Engineering

We are currently partnering with a leading organization in the energy/industrial sector to recruit an experienced Head of Department – Process Engineering to lead and oversee large-scale projects.

This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving engineering excellence, overseeing complex project delivery, and leading a high-performing team within a dynamic and technically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide project/process design engineering activities, ensuring alignment with industry standards, codes, and best practices

• Oversee engineering reviews, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure quality and safety compliance across all deliverables

• Establish project scope, objectives, and priorities while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients

• Drive departmental performance through effective planning, resource management, and continuous process improvement

• Provide expert technical advisory on engineering design, process optimization, and technology implementation

Leadership & Management:

• Manage and develop a team, ensuring high performance, training, and career progression

• Oversee departmental budget and contribute to broader business planning

• Accountable for team deliverables, quality of output, and overall engineering performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with professional registration

• Minimum 25 years of experience within oil & gas / hydrocarbon processing environments

• Recognized expert in process engineering and relevant technologies

• Proven leadership experience managing large engineering teams and complex projects
