The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee core accounting operations, ensure robust financial reporting, and drive cost efficiency across the organization. This is a leadership role where you’ll work cross-functionally and influence key financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end accounting activities across multiple functions

  • Oversee financial reporting for internal stakeholders and external requirements

  • Drive cost accounting, budgeting, and cost control initiatives

  • Ensure accurate cost allocation aligned with internal controls and accounting standards

  • Manage project cost tracking, reporting, and performance analysis

  • Oversee accounts payable operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy

  • Support procurement by reviewing contracts and minimizing financial risk

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and internal policies

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems and processes

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

  • Strong background in general accounting, cost accounting, and budgeting

  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and fixed assets

  • Exposure to procurement finance and contract review

  • Proven experience in team leadership and talent development

  • Must have experience in Oil & Gas or similar industries

Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP

  • Familiarity with best practices in cost management and financial controls

  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • MBA or postgraduate qualification (preferred)

  • CPA or CMA certification (highly desirable)
