Commercial and Contracts Specialist

Role Summary:

Manage all commercial, contractual, and procurement activities for a newly established exploration and production company.

Ensure compliance, cost control, risk mitigation, and support operational teams to achieve project objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures; ensure timely invoicing and payments.

  • Support procurement of goods and services for drilling operations and maintenance.

  • Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and dashboards for management review.

  • Provide guidance to project and operational teams on commercial matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commercial Law, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5–10 years’ experience in commercial/contracts management in oil & gas, preferably land rigs or exploration projects.

  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, risk management, and procurement.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with MS Office, ERP systems, and contract management tools.
