Commercial and Contracts Specialist
Role Summary:
Manage all commercial, contractual, and procurement activities for a newly established exploration and production company.
Ensure compliance, cost control, risk mitigation, and support operational teams to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures; ensure timely invoicing and payments.
Support procurement of goods and services for drilling operations and maintenance.
Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and dashboards for management review.
Provide guidance to project and operational teams on commercial matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commercial Law, Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years’ experience in commercial/contracts management in oil & gas, preferably land rigs or exploration projects.
Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, risk management, and procurement.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with MS Office, ERP systems, and contract management tools.
